I remember the story of a woman who lost her husband and was left with two sons to cater for alongside massive debts owed by her husband. Having to deal with grief, then going through the disgrace of the creditor coming to disturb her was something I couldn't wrap my brain around. I am sure she would have had moments of bitter cries with no hope of getting the debts paid. Moreso, the threats she got about having her sons work as slaves till the money was paid were just unbelievable and wicked.
