Why friendship?

"If you haven't read my post on Lifeship, I recommend you to read it. Among the different types of ships on our Lifeship is Friendship. Have you ever wondered how people with different backgrounds and ideologies can enjoy each other's company or share the same interests?" The backbone of every relationship is friendship. What then is friendship? Britannica defines it as a state of enduring affection, esteem, intimacy, and trust between two people. Although some have been hurt by friends, it can be discouraging. I have enjoyed amazing friendships with people, many have and you can but it also starts with you becoming a good friend. I remember the story of a woman who lost her husband and was left with two sons to cater for alongside massive debts owed by her husband. Having to deal with grief, then going through the disgrace of the creditor coming to disturb her was something I couldn't wrap my brain around. I am sure she would have had moments of bitter cries with no hope of getting the debts paid. Moreso, the threats she got about having her sons work as slaves till the money was paid were just unbelievable and wicked. It was a terrible situation I must say and using this medium to decree peace, joy and comfort to anyone mourning a dear one. And for those in debt, supply comes for you. When she saw the way things were going she had no choice but to cry out for help and the most amazing thing happened. Can you Lead you?

A whole lot is being addressed on leadership but at the core is personal leadership. How well we do with personal leadership will determine how well we can do with leading others.  It more like a saying if you want to see a change around you, it has to start from you. We all want revival but the revival has to start from within us. Let's imagine a man with a dusty and dirty glass trying to look at a blue shirt, what do you think he would see? Let me leave that to your imagination, but am sure we all agree that he can't see the right thing. That is simply what leadership is without personal leadership. So in the past one month I was part of a program (L.E.A.D You course) which was hosted by Mrs Morenike Vincent. It was four weeks loaded with four different themes and four different speakers who did justice to the topics.
