I saw a big banner with the words "Planted or Buried?" while on the move. Let's take a quick look at the difference between burying and planting something. To bury according to the Oxford Dictionary means to put or hide underground, it can also mean to cover (someone or something) completely. To plant according to Merriam-Webster dictionary means to put or set in the ground for growth, to set or sow with seeds or plants.
In life, it can be easy to confuse being buried and being planted as they may appear similar at first glance. However, with time, it becomes clear that there is a distinct difference between the two. The beauty of these definitions lies in the fact that planting is intended to bring forth growth and new beginnings, even though it begins with being placed and covered. On the other hand, burying is intended to bring about decay or complete death.

When something is planted, it suggests that it still has a purpose and that a process of growth has commenced. Although a seed may initially struggle when planted, fearing that it marks the end of its life, it is being primed for a lifetime of flourishing and expansion.
Many people go through a phase of hiding, refining, and renewal or rebirth. Although this process may seem like burying, it can feel isolating and confusing. However, it’s important to stay true to ourselves and our life goals and dreams. We should not give up because there is still hope.
Throughout our lives, we experience different seasons. There is a time to sow, a time to nourish, a time to trim, and a time to reap. By taking the time to reflect on our paths, we can better understand which season we are currently in and avoid being sidetracked. Each season teaches us valuable lessons, so we should not let hardships or successes prevent us from learning and utilizing those lessons in the future.
Each person has their own unique path and timeline, so it's important not to compare yourself to your friends or siblings. We all have different purposes and assignments in life. Just like cooking rice and noodles requires different amounts of time, the time and process needed for studying medicine depending on the specialization versus law also differ.
Remember that you are not alone in your current situation. It's important to not give in to compromise or take the easy way out. I believe in you and know that you have the strength to overcome any obstacle. Keep pushing forward and stay diligent, your breakthrough will come, and it will all be worth it.
Cheers to a refined you.
