Why is thanksgiving important?

It's a season of birthing. You might have carried seeds of greatness and great manifestations in you for so long. It's delivery timeπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ

Would love to share a key to enjoying ease in birthing all that you carry.

Thanksgiving!!!

Well this is the ninth month of the year. Many who started this year with you are no more. You have a phone to access the internet and you can read this. You have eyes that can see and even pose for a selfie with those lovely eyes. You can breath in free air without paying a dim.

I can give you a zillion reasons why thanksgiving is important. It is only a fool that will think his/her strength has acquired all that they have. I have noticed that even as humans when you appreciate a person for what they do no matter how little it encourages them to do more.

Thanksgiving is a crucial key if you want your burdens lifted, more joy in your heart and more light shed on your path. Thanksgiving is a passport to open doors.

As humans we are prone to wanting more and more, that we easily forget previous breakthroughs or blessings. Being thankful multiplies what we have in our hands. I noticed that I tend to complain easily when things don't look as expected.

But then I caught a secret of having a thanksgiving journal from someone. I took to documenting daily what I am thankful for and it has really helped my mind and attitude towards God and man.

If you find thanksgiving difficult, then I urge you to try documenting things you are grateful for daily.

Do have a fruitful week ahead.

Mentorship

One thing I have noticed that is expedient for growth in every sphere of life is mentorship and this can come in different forms. You can never under estimate the power one a man who has people to learn from and climb on their shoulders. I was in a workshop recently and the speakers even though didn't meet the previous speakers session ended up with the same point which is "to rise to the peak in life we need a guide someone who has more experience or expertise in our desire field". I find this to be very true, many are gifted with so much energy but are finding it hard to rise beyond where they are and several mistakes are made because there is no oversight. Photo credit: istockphoto.com Taking examples from the world, I see musicians, actors, researchers, ministers, and so on, who came to limelight because they had a mentor: someone to guide them, someone they can leverage on their platform or reputation or learn from. Even in vocations, it is a common place for an a...

Planted or Buried?

I saw a big banner with the words "Planted or Buried?" while on the move. Let's take a quick look at the difference between burying and planting something. To bury according to the Oxford Dictionary means to put or hide underground, it can also mean to cover (someone or something) completely. To plant according to Merriam-Webster dictionary means to put or set in the ground for growth , to set or sow with seeds or plants. In life, it can be easy to confuse being buried and being planted as they may appear similar at first glance. However, with time, it becomes clear that there is a distinct difference between the two. The beauty of these definitions lies in the fact that planting is intended to bring forth growth and new beginnings, even though it begins with being placed and covered. On the other hand, burying is intended to bring about decay or complete death. Planted or buried? When something is planted, it suggests that it still has a purpose and that a process of gro...
