I have heard of people with very horrible backgrounds who against all odds didn't allow it to define them and they turned out to be a voice to their generation. This is true of the saying that broken crayons still colours.
The reason why many might not move past their broken state to be mended is that they hold on to the past dearly because they find it hard to let go. It won't be that easy I must confess but every form of unforgiveness, and hatred will only hold you bound as a prisoner. Some might not even want to admit that they are hurting because they don't want to appear vulnerable.
So instead of healing, they end up destroying others with their broken edges, which is much worse. It takes time to heal but never run away from it. Have you seen gold or diamond in their raw state, you will agree with me that they can't be used directly as accessories. They go through pressure, compression, heat, hammering, and so on to become the precious and beautiful accessories we long to wear.
For a seed to grow it has to go into the ground, what we would call "to bury" but then after few days it comes out fresh and full of life ready to begin another journey. You have a lot on your inside and it might take that problem to reveal it. What you passed through might just be the key you need to open the door you might meet in the nearest future or even the key someone else might need to unlock their doors into the light.
You never can tell what greatness lies ahead until you truly let go of your worries, fears, and hurts. You are not alone. There is a helper, a friend ready to hold your hands and lead you through. His name is Jesus, He is everything you will ever need. Just call on him and He will answer.
Cheers to a reformed you.
